Even though I was headed to my in-laws for the weekend, I was able to continue
my work on the project while I was there. Luckily, my father-in-law has a MIG welder
that he is more than happy to let me use for a bit. So, I set about finishing the
radiator bracket.
Here is an image of the bracket after all the corners are welded up.
Half way done with the welding of the rods, and it is looking pretty good. A little
hint for those of you who may not do this type of stuff very often. If you want to evenly
space items on an object, but the object does not lend itself to division easily. Start
from the middle and work your way out to both ends.
With all of the rods in place, the bracket is looking pretty good.
Considering I forgot the radiator at home when I went out of town this weekend, there
was some risk that the radiator wouldn't fit the finished bracket. Luckily, HW Labs has the
specs for the radiator online, so I knew the dimensions of the radiator. Even with this
knowledge, I was a bit worried about the radiator fitment. So, when I got home, I made a
quick test fit......and it fits perfectly.
